The Sustainable City Exhibition aimed to showcase achievements of knowledge-based companies related to social, economic, environmental sustainability, and smart cities. The exhibition took place from the 6th to the 9th of Dey (December) at the Kish International Exhibition Center. The opening ceremony and afternoon session were attended by Mohammad Khansari, Deputy Minister and President of Iran Information Technology Organization; Mahmoud Liaei, Deputy Minister and CEO of the National Post Company; Pouria Mohammadian, Secretary of the Traffic Council at the Ministry of Interior; Saeed Purzadi, Acting Director of Kish Free Zone Organization; and various mayors and urban management officials from across the country.
The exhibition featured 280 participants from various sectors, including free and special economic zones, various holdings in the fields of information technology, urban services, transportation, banking, industry, mining, trade development, mobile operators, the National Post Company, universities, science and technology parks, construction companies, shipping, subsidiaries of the Road and Transport Organization, and subdivisions of the Ministry of Defense and Support.
Key themes of the exhibition included smart government, smart urban management, sustainable economy, green energy, sustainable transportation, environment, sustainable and smart building areas, smart government, information and communication infrastructure, research, sustainable economy, and security in smart cities.
